BOOKING PROCESS

  • Can I turn up to the hotel without a booking?

    It is possible to simply turn up at The Drake Hotel on the day and book there if we have rooms available for that night. However, it's less risky and you will get the best prices if you book in advance.

  • Is there a minimum age requirement to reserve a hotel room?

    You must meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old. Please call the hotel directly prior to your arrival to make any necessary arrangements. Direct hotel phone numbers can be found in your confirmation email or on the respective hotel information page.

  • I’m having trouble making an online booking. I need help.

    In case any issues arise during the reservation process, please visit the contact page on our website and find the relevant number there.

  • Can I reserve more than one room at a time when I book online?

    Yes, you can book more than one room at a time. There is no cap on the number of rooms you can book, but it will be subject to the availability of other guest reservations and the time of booking.

  • Am I required to enter my credit card number online to book a reservation? Is your reservation process secure?

    Yes. A credit card number is required to book a reservation online for those hotels that accept credit cards. For your security, any personal information such as your credit card number or phone number will be encrypted before being transmitted over the internet.

  • Do I need an account to make a reservation online? How long does it take to get an account?

    You will not need to create an account as part of the online reservation process. You just need to enter your contact details and choose your hotel room and time of stay. Once payment goes through, you will receive a reservation booking confirmation.

  • How can I get the best rates when booking at the hotel?

    Call directly into the hotel and our receptionist will be happy to provide you the best rates possible rather than through an online booking platform.

  • Can I pay with cash?

    We do accept cash payments.

  • Are my payment card details safe?

    Yes. The booking platform is a secure site, so all the details entered as part of your booking are stored safely.

  • Is the price per person or per room?

    The price is for the room and not per person.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES

  • What are the check-in and check-out times?

    Check-in on day of arrival is from 3pm to 9pm. Check-out is 10:30am

    For arrivals after 9pm, please contact our reception directly to arrange out of hours check-in

  • How do I request an early check-in or late check-out with the hotel?

    We will try to accommodate needs where possible, please get in contact with the team directly citing your booking reference and request.

  • What if I arrive earlier or plan to leave later than I originally expected? Can I request an early check-in or late check-out?

    We'll do our best to accommodate your change in travel plans; however, policies regarding early check-in and late check-out depend on the day. Whilst we we do our best to help you, there is no guarantee that the request will be met. Call the hotel directly prior to your arrival to request early check-in or late check-out. CANCELLATIONS & AMENDMENTS

  • What is your policy regarding reservations?

    If you have booked a room directly with the hotel, either via telephone or using our online booking system and you’re unable to come for whatever reason, you can cancel free of charge as long as you telephone us, or cancel online, by 48 hours before arrival. If you don’t contact us until

  • How do I indicate a special request with my reservation?

    Please note all preferences and requests in the “Add comment” area when making a reservation. Or you can call into the hotel directly to make a special request. The hotel will do everything possible to accommodate your request.

  • Can I cancel or change a reservation once it has been made?

    Yes. If your travel plans change, you can cancel or modify your reservation in accordance with the Drake Hotel cancellation policy as stated during the reservation process.

  • What happens if my plans change, and I forget to change or cancel my reservation?

    Unfortunately, if you fail to cancel your reservation, you will be charged 50% of the total hotel reservation amount, billed to the credit card supplied during the reservation process. Cancellation policies are displayed during the reservation confirmation process and are also listed in the confirmation email you receive upon confirming your reservation.

  • Will I be charged for extra guests occupying my room?

    Hotel room rates vary by date and by the number of adults occupying a single room. To accommodate more guests, you need to change your reservation. You will be notified of any additional charges prior to confirming your updated reservation. Kindly note rooms will have a max capacity and we cannot provide any more beds.

  • How can I extend my stay?

    To extend your stay you are required to make a new booking either online at or speak to the hotel staff and book directly in hotel.

  • Can I make a booking on behalf of another person?

    Yes, you can. The guest must bring with them the confirmation and a valid piece of photo ID.

OUR HOTEL

  • Does the hotel offer breakfast?

    Yes, a full freshly cooked English breakfast, fruits, yoghurts, selection of drinks and coffee is available for breakfast. Breakfast is inclusive within every reservation.

  • Does the hotel have its own bar or restaurant?

    The hotel has its own bar but no restaurant. Our receptionist will be on hand to recommend the many fantastic restaurants in the local area if required.

  • Where can I find maps and directions to my hotel?

    When on a hotel’s overview page, click on to the “Contact” tab. Here, you’ll find contact details for the hotel. Scroll down further to the section on how to get to the hotel. This will include directions from major transport hubs and an interactive map helping you find the hotel from your chosen location, via car, public transport or on foot.

  • What interesting events or attractions are there in Plymouth?

    For recommendations on things to do during your stay, visit our website and navigate to the tab “Events & Area Information”. Our receptionist will also be happy to provide guidance and leaflets on places to visit in Plymouth.

  • Is the hotel reception desk open 24 hours a day?

    No, the receptionist will be available from 7:30am-9pm (weekdays) and 8am-9pm (weekends).

  • Does the hotel have car parking facilities?

    Yes, we do offer free car parking facilities for our guests at the hotel. There should be enough space for most guests but in the instance, we cannot find a space for you, there are also car park facilities nearby the hotel.

  • Can I smoke in the hotel/bedroom?

    Smoking is not permitted. The Drake Hotel has a strict non-smoking policy within all parts of the hotel.

  • Are children welcome at the hotel?

    Children of any age can stay at the hotel if they are accompanied by an adult. An adult is considered to be those aged 18 years and above.

  • What hotel facilities do you have?

    Hairdryers and irons are available in the hotel. Kettles are available in our rooms. Please see the specific accommodation page on our website for more information regarding hotel amenities.

  • Do you have meeting rooms available at the hotel?

    Yes, we do have meeting rooms in our hotel. Please contact our team in advance to discuss booking a meeting room.

  • Can I bring my pet?

    The Drake Hotel adheres to a strict no pets policy.

  • Does your hotel have a lift/elevator?

    Unfortunately, our hotel does not have a lift and is only accessible by stairs. However, our team will be more than happy to help move your bags to your room if required.

OUR ROOMS

  • Are bed linen and towels included in the room?

    Yes, they are provided in every room. Towels can be replaced on request.

  • Can I invite guests to stay in my room?

    Our rooms are for the guests that are named in the reservation. If any guests have any visitors, they can only be admitted with specific permission from of Drake Hotel staff. If you are staying with us and expect any guests, please speak to our team before arrival.

  • Do the bedrooms have en-suite facilities?

    Yes - All our rooms come with en-suite facilities.

  • Can I request a room next to another room or on a specific floor?

    Please contact the hotel directly in order to request a specific floors and rooms near to each other. We will do our best to accommodate such requests but please note it may be subject to availability.

  • Do you have toiletries available?

    We offer basic toiletries in the form of hand wash and shower gel. If you require more toiletries, please speak to our receptionist.
